Job Description

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing a wide range of IT projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of IT systems and project management methodologies.

Candidate Specification

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation, while considering potential risks and mitigation strategies.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, motivating team members, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, ensuring that project progress, challenges, and milestones are clearly communicated and understood.
  4. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project goals and deadlines.
  5. Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop proactive mitigation plans to minimize potential issues that may impact project delivery.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with industry best practices.
  7. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report financial status to senior management and stakeholders.
  8. Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
  9. Change Management: Effectively manage changes to project scope, schedule, and objectives, while assessing their impact and obtaining necessary approvals.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex IT projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, and technology trends.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
